WASHINGTON¬—The Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe in cooperation with the Embassy of Poland invites you to a public screening of acclaimed Polish film director Andrzej Wajda’s Katyn. Released in 2007, Katyn was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at the 80th Academy Awards. The film shows the human side of the story of Stalin’s murder of more than 20,000 Polish officers and intellectuals in the spring of 1940 and the lies told for a half century about this horrific crime.

Please join us for this touching film during this week of mourning for the victims of last Saturday’s tragic plane crash and the 70th anniversary of the Katyn Forest Massacre. The film is 115 minutes long and will be followed by a brief discussion.
